Is Ignorance Bliss? Empty Is Ignorance Bliss?

Ignorance is bliss, they say.

But sooner or later, an inquisitive mind, will seek and like to know.....stuff.

The more you know, the more you wish......that less you knew.

truths are definitely not life liberating.

They are painful.

The more smaller truths you know, more painful your life becomes.

You wish you never knew them!

Are smaller truths the ONLY path to the absolute Truth (with a big T) ?

I am not sure I want it this way.

random small-r "r"ealizations,
TS.

Your post reminds me of a statement/sloka from Ishavashya Upanishad... (I was watching a video where this was mentioned)..

Andham tamah pravisanti yovidyam upasate
tat bhuya iva te tamo ya u vidyayam ratah

Into blinding darkness enter those who worship ignorance and those who delight in knowledge enter into still greater darkness, as it were.

The trick is to stay* ignorant - just like, not to wake up in dreams

* it's the worst to get to know/understand/realize that one was, and start introspecting/reflecting on the past; the benefits of being ignorant get obfuscated and invariably, it leads to  self-disrespect/self-resentment/self-contempt etc.,

FH - Nobody "worships" ignorance. But I somewhat get your point.

The point is - More you know, more you realize how LITTLE you know.

The path to knowledge is a realization to a path of one's own ignorance.

Its not 0 or 1.

We are all stuck on 0.0000000001 kind of state.

To make it 0.00000000002 makes us realize that we are actually on 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 state.

So, knowing more is more knowledge or a realization that you know less than what you thought you knew?

Either know Truth (with a capital T), or be damned with learning more and more smaller truths (with small case t's).

That was my point,
TS.
