I would take these with a pinch of salt. 
Gujarati's are small traders, and many have benefited from BJP's pro trader policies.
With BJP being a ruling party, there is a lot of hesitation in Gujarat, in speaking out against the ruling party. 

Current State of Affairs
GST implementation screw ups are monumental. And it has affected the trading community the most.
So many would vote against them. Hasmukh Adhia should be fired and Jaitely/GST council taken to task, for NOT anticipating this. Infosys also did a bad job by leaving lots of Bugs, and not planning for enough time to account for policy changes. Software was pushed without bugs. Necessary infrastructure to help Traders was not present. They should have setup a GST help center in every district. They did not do that. 

The silver lining is that they are reacting fast and updating policies. However to counter mis-information, they should have published a table in each state,which should have the sum total of all taxes in the left column as on today and the GST in right column. When GST is revenue neutral, people do not realize they were also paying state taxes when they pay of articles, so any difference in price is now blamed on GST. So Congress exploits this and blames any price variation on the GST, without explaining that they too a party to the decision.

 
Unlike UPA which is insular, PM Modi/Shah duo seems to have corrected this (just before Diwali), with some recent decisions. But they should have anticipated this and made the pronouncements before GST was promulgated. So it is a little too late.

Congress appears to be succeeding at their usual games of dividing Hindus, with old guards like Ahmed Patel leading the charge, and the media giving much more importance to anti-BJP casteist folks Like Jignesh, Hardik and Alpesh. The media (especially pseudo-secular media) blows up every incident.

It will be a close Shave for BJP, and in the seats they win in the hinterland the margin is likely to be less. A 10% Swing is necessary for them to go down to 60 seats. A 5% swing will put them in the 80 seats to 110 range. There is already a 5 to 7% swing away from BJP, that is NOT coming out in the polls. Saurashtra will be better. But it has only a few seats and will not offset what they lose elsewhere.

I think they are in that band (80-110) meaning a likely chance of defeat or a very slender victory. 

In this sensitive border state, it will be a sad day if Congress returns to power, because it will be very bad for Hindus, as in pre BJP Ahmedabad. All the protection that is there today in the border areas to prevent Pakistani Infiltration across Kutch will be withdrawn.

Many of the Sunni Muslims in Gujarat are educated and have prospered 
However many have much more political Islamist tendencies, with many young children now studying in Muslim Schools, where they are brainwashed with Political Islamist doctrine which condones "Superiority of Muslims" over Hindus/Jains. That is because most of these educational institutions are run by Zakir Naik types and hardcore Political Islamists. This is a tinderbox waiting to explode, and once Congress comes to power, these folks will start showing their colours. The sane ones are the Bohras and Shias, but they will  not be able to stop these folks.
