Usually twitter rantage happens on Friday night/weekend. That he has to let off steam during the week means something's up.

Perhaps this story below that says Mueller is looking into Trump's attempts last year to get rid of Sessions. The Post would have asked Trump's spokesperson yesterday (or earlier) to comment about this upcoming story, so he knew what these witnesses were saying about Mueller's questions.
