The musician achieved fame and success through his own talent  He associated himself with the people he grew up with. Nothing wrong with that. Obama and similar biracials(black + white) will always be called black even if they consider themselves white. So Obama is not a con man. Con men are people like Chokkalingam who assumed black identity to reap benefits.
