Apparently became independent in 1999. I vaguely recall this now/ Apparently, there is a good amount of tourist traffic from India now. My brother has been there a few times. Ice Hockey in Macau surprises me just as much as in India.

It was a portugese colony - became "independent" and ruled by China in a Hong Kong style arrangement. It is to the South of Hong Kong. A small island "nation" of 1/2 million population and no ice.

BTW, India has 1.2 Billion with the Himalayas as Background.

Macau is famous for gambling. Like vegas. Lots of Indians travel there to get their gambling fixes.
