just read yesterday that Sachin is not retiring .he wants to be an asset to the country .. does not want to stop at the peak of his glory

instead wants to be an asset to young cricketers especially from Chennai who do not have any hero to look forward to .

talk is going around in elite circles that a Bharat Ratna is to be bestowed upon him

An 8 foot bronzed statue of him in batting position is being proposed by the BCCI to be put up at gateway of India ,Mumbai so that the whole world can gaze upon it for centuries to come .

A solid gold life size statue was also proposed for the museums but the noble hearted Sachin has rejected that requesting that similar amount of money be distributed to the destitute Tamils of Sri Lanka .

However he did accept a full size cricket bat of gold with his name engraved
