Yuvraj vs. Yuvaraju

Over the last few weeks, the efforts of the Congress party in AP were focused on reducing the victory margin of YSR's loutish son Jagan. Over a dozen state ministers were camped out in Kadapa, putting the credibility of AP Congress on the line in this election. The results are out now, and Jagan has increased his victory margin to an astounding 5 lakh votes. Both his rivals -- from Congress and TDP -- lost their deposits. (Hahaha @ Deposit Loss Ravindra.) This should send shivers up the spines of Soniaji and Yuvraj. AP is the state from which Congress picked up its largest block of Lok Sabha seats.

After having tried the daana (spending crores in election), bheda (trials at creating dissencions), danDa (firing his supporters from Congress), the high command will now try saama (talking nicely to him).
Now that he has called Sonia and that Moily guy's bluff, Jagan should play hardball with the center.

Yeah, the Empress took a big gamble, and she lost. Now her options are not good. She can bring Jagan back into the fold by giving him the CM post -- but that would be akin to తోక ముడుచుకోవటం. The other option is to hope that this is a localized, one-off event and count on Jagan's inability to translate this to the rest of the state. But that risks her grip on Delhi.

Jagan apparently spent crores of rupees to get elected in Kadapa apparently. Does Yuvaraj really matter now? Congress loses wherever he campaigns.

That has been a constant accusation leveled against him i.e beginning with OdArpu yAtralu, doesn't look like that card worked thus far. There are as many telugus that love YSR to death as the ones that hate him so that's going help Jagan in near term.

Jagan Reddy is back by the Obulapuram Maharaja. The next business house is in the pipeline. The Mom (widow) standing/winning as a MLA is a very shrewd move. The congress goats can now switch over to Jagan camp with less guilt or circumspection. expect Jagan's mom to be the next CM and Jagan to be the Andhra Kingpin at the center.

An expected UP drubbing will bury congress chances in the next elections and the realignment will start soon after the UP elections.

Right now the congress has an uphill battle in TN, Andhra, Karnataka, MP, Bengal, Jharjhand, and perhaps Maharashtra - all big states. There is not a single state that Congress can call it its bastion. With active scams and anti-incumbency acting against it - it is left for the BJP to not to screw it up.
