please post recent experiences and recos. i have one parent who just moved into the > 75 age group and finding the options very limited. bummer.

I have absolutely no experience....

Still....

All visitor insurance has a cap of around $50 to 75K. Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Anyone over 75 from India has something abnormal (BP, Sugar level, kidney issues), which can easily be connected to any disease they might get while in US (cardio related, fall mainly).

It is good only for ortho related problems - even that they can tie it up with age-related BP etc..

Best is for them to get insurance in India (Oriental Insurance - if I am right), which will require them to pay hospital bills in US and get reimbursed (minus the bribe).
