VP on drinking Empty VP on drinking

Post by MulaiAzhagi Wed May 09, 2012 6:45 pm

Yesterday, around 9.30 P.M. I called a friend of mine, a native of Kollam, Kerala, (virtual contact through a social networking site) presently a resident of Pondicherry. I have spoken to him, during day times, but yesterday was the first time I called him after nine in the night. Even though he would recognize my voice during the earlier conversations, he could not identify me this time. His voice was slurred and had become thick, probably due to excessive drinking. And Pondicherry is a paradise for the worshippers of the Bottle?
Repeatedly he asked me who I was. I told him several times, that I am VP from Chennai, and was calling him to know about the recent calamity in his household, he stubbornly refused to acknowledge me. On the other hand he insulted me under the influence of alcohol, as to “Who this VP is, Which VP, What VP?”
I felt sorry for him and not to embarrass him more, I disconnected the line, hoping that he would regain his senses, once he sleeps over the drinks during the night.
I am a misfit in modern society, as I abhor drinking. Not that I did not have an opportunity. Having been in the Shipping Industry for three decades and half, the choicest labels were within my reach at throw away cost. But, I have not, repeat and not tasted this ambrosia.
Why people drink? To enjoy or forget their disappointments in life, momentarily?
Frankly I do not know. But most hard drinkers, I find are a menace to society.
What is your opinion?

The priest speaks from his inexperience. What does he know about it anyway? Ask him, has he ever tasted it?

VP is having a great time of his life posting stuff on the face book.

Why would he want to come to this forum when he has a lot of followers on FB?

He has posted some nice pictures. I am not talking about porn.

This is what he said:

he's certainly a imperious, garrulous, dirty, horny old man with a penchant for tall tales. viTTy the tiTTy phlegmy isnt that far behind in that aspect either.
