After several weeks economic gloom in june mitt romney made substantial gains to erase obamasnleadin most parts of usa. Polls showed a close contest. By the end of july romney made no further progress. He failed to provide answers to persistent questions on bain capital and tax returns.
No vp pick yet. No boost from trip abroad. May have lost an opportunity. Obamas team is fighting well to corner romney.
romney still has a strong chance due to a slow growing economy and few jobs. He also have serious money advantage. Imagine all the oil money to be.unleashed against obama.

Obama refuses to give up. Romney fails to close the deal.
