Blood pressure is only ONE of several factors that can cause a heart attack. But usually, very rarely people have ONLY blood pressure.

Usually the foursome: blood pressure, diabetes, Cholesterol, obesity - is what I call the pall bearers of a person. If a person has one, the rest will likely follow to take the person to "the ground".

The basis is now changing... Triglyceride is taking the place of Cholesterol as the most significant culprit. That puts the Idly sambars and Thayir sadams at the greatest risk. I will add metabolic syndrome and cigarette smoking as the 6-member pall bearer team to take down a person.
