Madras High Court bench here today directed Indian Coast Guard to file an affidavit on future steps and those already taken to protect Indian fishermen from attacks allegedly by Sri Lankan Naval personnel in the Palk Strait.

This is the first time in history a court ordered a country's defece forces to protect its citizens (or citizens of occupiede territories)

huh? the indian tamils had been merrily poaching in sri lankan waters from times troubled (when sri lankan navy turned a blind eye to their deeds) and depriving sri lankan tamils of their livelihood. the sri lankan tamils could not fish deep into their territorial waters because of the presence of the hostile sri lankan navy and the indian tamils ran freely in those waters with their trawlers. now when the sri lankan navy is trying to protect the interest of the sri lankan tamils, you are crying foul? which side are you on?

Gasp! Such lies! Sir, please be informed that there is no difference between Indian Tamils and Sri Lankan Tamils. Tamils are Tamils and they refuse to be divided by false national boundaries imposed on them by imperialist powers. Tamils in both countries are brothers na? Their houses are our houses, na? Their fish is our fish, na? Where's the question of poaching them? Sri Lankan navy fires on Tamils without checking their passports. Hindian navy refuses to protect the Tamils and is in cahoots with the aggressors. EOD. Cease and desist from your Hindian lies.
