In 2006, when hardly any political space was devoted to the unfairness of the current tax code, Warren Buffett was speaking about this issue. When Obama later raised the issue, he was accused by the GOP of waging class warfare. Buffett called it absolutely right:

“There’s class warfare, all right,” Mr. Buffett said, “but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning.”
