Rajasulochana acted in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam cinemas. When she smiles, her whole face lights up.

She was the wife of C.V. Rao, a well known movie director, and DIL of C. Pulliah, the legendary movie director.

I saw a movie dubbed from Telugu to Tamil starring Rajasulochana and Shoban Babu.

Sulochana played the role of a very rich and independent woman who owns a business.

One day, she gets a call from some bad guys who say that they have kidnapped her son (played by Shoban Babu) and ask her to come with a lot of money to a certain address.

She goes there to the bad guys' place. Shoban Babu is being held at gun point. "Amma, Amma, please hand over the money to these guys. Otherwise they will kill me."

On hearing this, Sulocahana takes a gun from her purse and points it towards Shoban Babu.

"You are not my son. You called me Amma. My son never does that. He addresses me only as mummy."

The Shoban Babu look-alike kills her. (double role)

The son Shoban Babu who is a cop goes on to avenge his mother's death.

I still get choked up when I think about this movie.

Obviously you don't know who Rajasulochana is! Hmm....

Marathadi-Saamiyaar is 108 years old. I am 107 years and 360 days old. That must give you a rough idea about how old SU-CH is!. sunny

She was a beautiful actress, though she played mostly in negative roles. I just came to know that her real name is "Rajeevalochana" and that it was misspelled as Rajasulochana. RIP

She has a happy face. When she smiles, there is nothing left on her face that doesn't!

She did act as a heroine in some (Iddaru Mitrulu, for example). Obviously, Bhanumati, Savitri and Anjali dominated the movies during her era.

I wonder how Anjali devi became such a big heroine. There were many who were more prettier than her. She wasn't a good dancer either. Luck, maybe. Another thing that I came to know today is that Rajasulochana was a trained classical dancer and a teacher. Nice!

PS: My other handle is kinnera. i am in the process of shifting handles.
