Looks like you listened to the Diane Rehm show this morning.

This man did not set out to become the world bank president to begin with.

He had worked in the field of public health care all around the world. He had a vision even while he went to Harvard medical school.

But we do not know what prompted the M.B.B.S kid to go for IAS. Is it prestige? Or the fact that a district collector is worshipped like a GOD by the illiterate people in the BIMARU states?

Do you know even the IIT JEE topper two years ago wanted to do join the civil service once he graduated? That is what he told the interviewer.

Btw please listen to the show and find out what the doctor says about India and particularly the state of Uttar Pradesh.
