Sensex down 540 points...

...in reaction to news of the Fed winding down its bond repuchase. Stupid sheep. Anyway, scooped up a bunch of HDFC Bank, some InduSind Bank, Colgate Palmolive and IRB.

after making considerable losses on several mid-cap and small-cap lemons, i have stopped looking at anything senseks. one ($(#$) went down from 135 to 40 and another from 90 to 30 when i checked last.

I stick to large caps and so far it's been a good run. I have an ISec account but I've not used it. I use HDFC.

Why do you spell sensex as senseks? Where would you say you were if you went to Middlesex?

that's because while my employer does not care about what comes in through the firewall, they make a fuss about what goes out. that's what they claim to do anyway. therefore, i avoid words that could attract attention.

Everything's normal on Dalal St today. So what was with all that panicked selling yesterday?? Watching every scrip go into the red, you would think the heavens were falling and it was time to go all liquid. And now, it's as if yesterday never happened. Wisdom of the (m)asses, ha!
