...irrespective of their views and personalities, both of them are superbly accomplished and ALL their siblings are/were very highly accomplished.

What gives?

Upbringing? family connections? family wealth? intelligence?

I have seen a couple of families like that here in the US and in India where all the kids were highly successful - not at the same level as Sen or Bhagwati - CPAs, Journos, Surgeons, accomplished Engineers. Family discipline, respect and people interaction, freedom in education/profession were all common in these families.

P.S. I am talking only about families in which ALL the children are accomplished. dont count the ones with 3 or less children - which is a different ball game.
