Is this Kalanidhi Maran from a political family (a central minister named Maran resigned yesterday)?

What is this guy's culpability - all his TV station did was to broadcast news, albeit sensational news, and that's not a crime, is it?

Is Nityananda still in business, i.e., are there still some bakras and bakrinis showing up at his "ashram" for peace and tranquility?
