Remembering BCL

No AC at home, many of my summer vacation days were spent at BCL between 10:30 AM and 5:30 PM with bicycle parked outside the library.

I still remember the face of one BCL library boy responsible for cleaning, stacking books, issueing and returns. He taught me the best work ethics I saw in any man. A young slim decent looking boy in early 20s then, he would clean and stack books, journals ALL day long, also helping in issuing books, journals.

I went back after a few years to find if he's still there, but BCL had shut down its locations.

lol you never know these days.. the other day someone on my FB told me that someone related to them lived in my township. Totally absolutely no relation to me either by friendship or geography. Curious, I thought let me find who that could be. Anyway, first I went on my contact's wife's page. Turned out my XB is on her list... WHAT? Anyway, when I further snooped down her list until finally I found the page of my supposed-neighbor I discovered he is on friend's list of my BFF. Whhhaaatttt?!!!!

Nice post! Quite a few things in there that were part of my growing up years. Power cuts were my favorite. Right in front of our childhood home was a football ground. As soon as the power went out we would go and play there.
