Engineers came out of Naarthie Schools are employable than the ones from South
According to the report, released by employability solutions company Aspiring Minds, Delhi, Bihar, Punjab and Uttarakhand figure in the top 25 percentile of States of most employable engineers.
“States like A.P. and Tamil Nadu, which have the highest number of engineering colleges, continue to have lowest employability. States need to be conscious towards better education quality rather than building more capacity,” said Aspiring Minds CEO Himanshu Aggarwal.

I am not surprised. The number of colleges are LESS in the Naarth with number of seats less than the applicants creating competition - although not like 20 years ago. In the south there are some 500+ colleges in each state with nearly 40,000 vacant seats. it means there is a seat for anyone who wants one and also resources and personnel are in severe shortage with most southie colleges are running almost a fake education industry.

I hope we are not drawing parallels with right-wing propagandists favorite line blacks err.. poor are dumb thus not good enough for college education. There is nothing wrong with YSR's dream problem is with implementation or lack thereof, and in some cases corruption that resulted into lax rules, btw this problem existed under CBN's regime too.b_A wrote:confuzzled dude wrote:According to the report, released by employability solutions company Aspiring Minds, Delhi, Bihar, Punjab and Uttarakhand figure in the top 25 percentile of States of most employable engineers.

What the present situation has given is 100s of thousands of half-baked, unemployable engineers who are doing the same old Street vendor jobs - but with bank loans of Rs 5+ lakhs. Will theGovt. "write-off" these student loans?

This is more of a social problem i.e. obsession with engineering degree to the point that other degrees are deemed worthless. I think these as growing pains, people will realize sooner or later at which point a natural course of correction will take place, and many of these colleges will be closed down.Marathadi-Saamiyaar wrote:confuzzled dude wrote:I hope we are not drawing parallels with right-wing propagandists that blacks err.. poor are dumb thus shouldn't be enrolled in colleges, waste of tax payers monies. No such problems for students in AP. Most of them get tuition reimbursement under a scheme started by YSR.Marathadi-Saamiyaar wrote:confuzzled dude wrote:I hope we are not drawing parallels with right-wing propagandists that blacks err.. poor are dumb thus shouldn't be enrolled in colleges, waste of tax payers monies.
