Idiocacy of communals fanboys couldn't have been more prophetic. Blame Congress for existing problems, blame Congress for their own communal leaders inadequacies, blame Congress for their favorite communal leaders lack of vision, blame others for communal leaders stupidity.

-> Yet another example of [stupid] antics of these idiots
"It may be noted, that the TD, which is now in power, had in the past opposed the move to shift the health university. When a proposal to shift the university was made in 2011, former principal secretaries of health — Dr P.V. Ramesh and L.V. Subrahmanyam — had visited the university. The TD MLAs had opposed the move to shift the university to Mangalagiri. They recommended development of a super speciality hospital on the premises of Sidhartha Medical College."

Siddhartha Medical College used to be a private one. In AP, Guntur & Andhra Medical colleges were well known from the beginning. Then, Kurnool Medical college became popular in Seema. In Guntur Medical College, more than half of the students used to be from Guntur dist (it used to be a bigger district those days), followed by students from Krishna dist. Vijayawada deserved a govt. Medical College but for various reasons, they didn't start one there. Guntur also had good degree colleges (Hindu and AC College) and was known as an education center. In Krishna dist, the best college used to be Hindu College in Bandar (until Loyola College was started in Vijayawada). Also, when Andhra University was created, Vijayawada wasn't treated well. So, I think, they were trying to compensate for the lost opportunities.
