Mr Subbunathan is an esteemed IT professional. Just recently rose to the ranks of a manager. His job is to build a new team. He is busy interviewing many IT programmers these days.

K now that the story is going that way, let's change 'Meenakshi works at Wallmart' to 'Meenakshi shops at Wallmart'.

"What is this, I say?" says Subbu - his nostrils are now flaring and face is becoming red with anger.
He suddenly stands up and says loudly, "Get out of here"
"Before you go, see this" see and rips out a picture from his pocket, dropping his ink pen in the process, "I have six-pack body, don't try to show off, mister. And she is my rakhi sister, ok!"

Subbu opened his mouth to say something but no words came out. He stood there, undecided, looking at JLF and then at Meenakshi and back at JLF.
Meenakshi walked over and put an arm on his shoulder, gently seating him down. "Please," she whispered into his ear.

it is important to let know our readers what subbanathan did before coming to wallmart.
Subbanathan woke up and after his shave and shower, put on a black trouser and a shirt that left no hints of the fact that it was once white. Most accomplished authors would have been at loss of words to describe its color and would have probably settled for “nondescript.” He also wore a pair of shoes which looked as if they have seen the entire world but never a shoe polish. He generously applied coconut oil to his hair and he wasn’t any less generous when he applied talc on his neck. An innocent by-stander, unaware of south indian traditions, could have been forgiven for thinking that Subba had smeared some of that talc on his forehead.

Goaded by his beautiful admin, subbu decides to continue with the interview. He adjusted the crease of his shirt that was neatly folded a little below his elbows. then he adjusted his square glasses and began asking in-depth technical questions to unsuspecting jlf. Seeing jlf's discomfort would encourage subbu even more. He would run his fingers through his thick mustache and offer half a smile while waiting for jlf to reply.

Meenakshi was only half-listening to the back and forth in the room. She could feel butterflies in her stomach but her face was a mask. She kept her gaze demurely lowered, but every now and then, she couldn't help steal a glance at the clock.
It was going to happen any time now. And she was pleased with herself - it was only her quick thinking that had ensured that JLF did not walk out of the room before it was time. That would have been a disaster.

Nope not over - story continues below...
While Subbu continued his grilling of JLF with technical questions, a loud noise interrupted him mid-sentence. And then another small one. This time it was longer, and had a tune. JLF sheepishly conceeded that it was the 7-layer burrito he ate this morning.
Everyone's eyes teared up immediately - almost on cue.
Quick thinking Meenakshi opened the room door to let the air circulate.
"Ayyo kadavale, whatever that was! Phew! But, it definitely sounded like abheri ragam", she thought to herself.
Subbu gave him the look he normally reserves for persistent beggars near the kovil. He then looked at the watch and said, "Alright lunch time...let's go to the cafeteria before it's rush hour".
JLF readily stood up, wiped his eyes with his handkerchief, and followed Subbu and Meenakshi.
With his gaze firmly planted at the caboose; he inadvertently started humming "Gaja gamini"...when Meenakshi suddenly looked back at him. JLF stopped mid-stride and looked down.
A moment later, he started walking again, this time next to Subbu who was pacing fast towards the cafeteria.
Coming into the cafeteria, Subbu exclaimed "Lunch is free" and then later immediately added "There's no such thing as free lunch"
while laughing out loudly.
"Get your lunch and meet me at this table", he said.
Meenakshi looked at JLF's lost look and said, "I know the Saapadu menu here. Come - there's the white rice, tamarind rice, yellow rice and jeera rice.
There's also rasam, sambhar, avial, sundal, gojju. There are two sweets today - Oputtu and Thengai Paal."
JLF was completely lost.
"Do you have aloo gobi?"
"What about Gobi Aalo? No?"
"OK, what about Aalo aalo?"
"Cmon!"
"No Masala DDosa also?"
He was completely crestfallen and decided to load up hs plate with whatever he could find...
As he was returning to the table - he saw Subbu. Subbu had a cloth around his neck, covering his shirt, and had rolled his sleeves once more.
He was busy slurrrping the sambhar with a spoon while attacking the chutney like tambaram kids behind
