New Delhi: India has declared national mourning on Saturday as a mark of respect to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia who died on Friday.

“The Government of India has decided that there will be one-day national mourning on Saturday as a mark of respect to his Majesty King Abdullah, custodian of two holy mosques and King of Saudi Arabia, who has passed away,” a home ministry spokesperson said.

The national flag will be flown at half mast throughout the country and there will be no official entertainment during the day. Chief secretaries of all states, administrators of Union territories and secretaries to the Union government have been intimated about the decision.

yeah, i had the same question this morning. pretty shameful actually, that he wouldn't go to paris, but would attend the funeral of a state-sponsored terrorist.
