yeah, i had the same question this morning. pretty shameful actually, that he wouldn't go to paris, but would attend the funeral of a state-sponsored terrorist.

It's probably the trying to impress his religious community / followers in India. Don't forget he was financially one of the biggest benefactor of his community people around the world, including paying for the religious schooling and construction / maintenance of their mosques etc.
