...... Indo will be happy to know that CBN is considering naming the AP capital AMARAVATI.

Satavahanas who ruled between Mauryas and Guptas had as much impact as the other two but didn't receive much attention. Choosing the name of their capital as that of Andhra Pradesh is a wise decision. The people of Andhra are not as fanatical as some others but, hopefully, they will take pride in their own history.

Are these morons trying to take away the historical significance of actual Amaravati with their phoney Amaravati? Any Telugu with an iota of Telugu pride in his blood won't approve this move.

The capital is being built near Amaravati. Do you want it to be called Tullur (with the special Kannada meaning)?

Amaravati has become a Buddhist heritage site and CBN doesn't want to disturb that. That is why the capital is right next to it (within a few Km). Naidu is being secular while making the people proud of their heritage.

If it were CONmen, they will name the capital after a dead Gandui. Naidu is not naming it after NT Rama Rao. Appreciate that.

What will Jagan do? He will name it YSR Milking Cow (to milk it to build another Lotus Pond).

heard something about tullur: apparently it was originally tuluva ooru as krishna devarajalu camped there during his conquests..and he belonged to the tuluva dynasty. indo can rest somewhat easy knowing it's not named after pussy
