..wait...why help the Bihar economy so that crooks and convicts could take credit. No one is going to be grateful to Modi - perceived hindu leader.

BJP should move the plant to UP..to at least reap the benefits. Indira would have just done that. After all, she is the tallest "secular" leader that the Convicts, Crooks and Congressmen look up to.

Again Tamil Nadu is discriminated in industrial development.

"Southern India is discriminated in industrial development. No new iron plant; no new rail line; no petroleum refinery. No noteworthy industrial plant is allocated to southern India. Instead of building an iron plant, the ministry of heavy industries is given to a south Indian. Is it political skill?" (from C. N. Annadurai's maiden speech at the Upper House of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) in 1962)

What crap you are talking ? When was the last time you traveled by train in TN..

1. Main line is now broad gaged
2. Coimbatore Madurai line is broad gaged
3. Erode-Karur - Trichy broad gaged
4. Cuddalore - Salem - Bangalore broad gaged
5. Salem - Namakkal - Karur - new line
6. Chengalpet - Kanchi-Arakonam broad gaged

Not to mention electrification. Rail network was very well developed in South and in Tamil Nadu even before the 60s. Now, there is no place to lat new lines.

So stop cribbing. My gripe is the Madras Loco Works can easily be expanded for these Diesel locomotive production.

They are building it in Bihar ?...??? Really ? Imagine the quality...Not even the Biharis would travel in those trains pulled by their own locos (sitting on roof tops). The guys who support Corrupt Convicts dont deserve any new factories or jobs.

What is the difference between what I said and your above statement?

Your post blames India as if TN never had any rail development. Why didn't you be specific about Loco Works, if that is what you meant, instead of your sweeping blame.

Want to know about rail projects?

We will give just two examples from 2002. Quilon-Tenkasi-Tirunelveli-Thiruchendur rail project received a mere 25 crore Rupees out of the total requirement of 465 crores. Tamil Nadu wants the Salem-Vriddhachalam-Cuddalore project completed soon and so Tamil Nadu State Government is providing 50% of the funds for this project (although it is the Indian Government responsibility to fund 100% of all rail projects). But Indian Government is budgeting in 2002 only 15 crore Rupees out of the total cost of 200 crores.

Pondicherry, the Tamil speaking Union Territory of India. Here is another example of paper projects. 1997-98 railway budget promised work on broad gauge conversion of the Pondicherry-Villupuram line and a technical survey on laying a new line between Pondycherry and Tindivanam and Cuddalore. But the Planning Commission did not allocate any funds for these projects

TN is one of the industrialized states in India.

The loco plant may be built in Bihar but TN engineers will be there.
