‘Hindi sahitya me lote ka mahatva‘ (Importance of pitcher in Hindi literature) is a PhD topic chosen by many (in Hindi literature), with some researching the vessel’s importance in poetry, and others in prose.

Perhaps the caste based reservation (quota) system in education and jobs also might have a lot to do with the low quality Ph.D. research and theses coming out from substandard students (scholars) and teachers (guides).
