LIVING for #5 is incorrect.

FORGING for #7 is incorrect. The correct answer for #7 is -

GOGGLES = glasses ----- in TOGGLES replace T with G (gin&tonic drink is affectionately known as G&T)

CRICKET is incorrect. The answer is -

1. Bug under lead clarinet ruins sound . (7)


TROUBLE --- sound is homophone indicator. "rubble" for ruins, "rouble" as homophone of rubble: put "t" of clarinet (lead) under rouble to get trouble = bug.
I agree this is not a clean clue.
