After a long time, I spent some time on LinkedIn going through the People You May Know list. Two observations:

** More people have a profile pic these days than even a year ago, when I last trawled through that site. Must be the FB effect.

** Almost all the women who had a profile pic were very good looking. I've never seen any sample of people in real life with so many good looking women. My conclusion: women put up a profile pic only if they believe they're good looking. Also they're far more picky, choosing flattering profiles, focus etc. The men on the other hand just put up whatever they can lay their hands on. Quite a few pics were unsmiling passport-style mugs.

The same applies to FB profile pics and albums too.
