What is more important is what one considers to be his "heart"land. Don't think Coe referred himself as an Indian at heart or maintained his connections with India like Sunita Williams.

i was only being facetious when i called coe an indian.
he is not indian, but i remember being a fan of him and the other british athletes of the era - steve cram, steve ovett, and the decathlete daley thompson. i remember seeing this race on TV (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9Sf4FrsGJs&feature=related).
