Best things in IPL are the player/ump/coach interviews. Simon Taufel's decision to give Gayle out and his simple analysis was great to listen to..

are you talking about tests? till Harbhandar Singh insists on occupying one spot Ashwin will never get a chance..

My definition of Modern day spinner is that he has to perform in T20 which he has done very well. I think it will be only a matter of time he does well in Tests.

Does the name Amit Mishra ring a bell? He was outstanding in inaugural IPL. Anyway, I hope he does well but not ready to put him on a pedestal already, no one considers Shivlal or Doshi as greats heck a few even think Venkat is a notch below the rest of the quartet

Anyone seen Rahul Sharma bowl in this IPL? He has the best economy rate. I read a recent cricinfo article about him which mentioned how he overcame an eye related health issues to get to where he is today. I hope this guy gets a break at the national level.

rahul sharma was extremely economical. don't know if he can fetch wickets in tests, though. he could be considered for ODIs and T20 if he spends another two years in domestic cricket and show some consistency.

we have seen many one-season wonders in IPL (asnodkar, gony, s tiwary, turdeja, pandey). eff them.

aside, murli vijay is trying to match sreesanth on the field. i mean, he is not angry and does not froth, but does some idiotic things after taking a catch. watch him on youtube if possible. the other day, he casually walked to take a catch and dropped it. hahaha.

Vijay is too full of himself. I have seen the drama numerous times. But he is a good fielder.

Ashwin has a very calm head and he is in the mould of Kumble, unlike Mishra who is also hot headed. Ashwin if nurtured well, will play for a long time.

Mishra played decently well in this years IPL.

Rahul sharma got plenty of big wickets in this IPL.

Who knew that in this format, we will be talking about spinners.
Good to see some options available for the future if Harbhandar singh ever relinquishes his one spot.
