If Modi indirectly hates Muslims and MT Sonia indirectly hates hindus, the it is better for hindus of to elect Modi. After all, it is their own survivial.
Sorry... that is democracy.... and anyone who does not respect people's choice in a democratic setup, then that person is not distinguised.. despite all the titles.

Rashmun,
Do you logically think that a majority community will vote for third time to modi for religious reasons? The elections were as fair as possible in india. Opposition has all the power in the world. Govt., central law enforcement agencies, courts, national press and every ngo was actively canvassing against modi not for 5 weeks but for 10 whole years.
Could there be other reasons for his popularity? Almost every economic report indicates gujarat as the fastest developing state in the nation. If that is true, why is modi's election worse than bush's reelection in 2004 or laloo's reelection for a third time or a possible sweep by jagan mohan reddy in coming ap elections?

Wasn't Feroze Gandhi a Parsi?
Mrs. Gandhi was born on November 19, 1917 to Jawaharlal and Kamala Nehru. She was named Indira Priyadarshini Nehru. She fell in love and decided to marry Feroze Khan, a family friend. Feroze Khan’s father, Nawab Khan, was a Muslim, and mother was a Persian Muslim. Jawaharlal Nehru did not approve of the inter-caste marriage for political reasons (see http://www.asiasource.org/ society/indiragandhi.cfm). If Indira Nehru were to marry a Muslim she would loose the possibility of becoming the heir to the future Nehru dynasty. At this juncture, according to one story, Mahatma Gandhi intervened and adopted Feroze Khan, gave him his last name (family name/caste name) and got the name of Feroz Khan changed to Feroz Gandhi by an affidavit in England. Thus, Feroze Khan became Feroze Gandhi. Though Mahatma belonged to Bania/Gandhi caste (a business tribe) the proposal was acceptable to Nehru for political reasons. Indira Nehru married Feroze (Khan) Gandhi in 1942 and became Indira Gandhi, which helped her politically as daughter of Nehru (the first Prime Minister of the Indian Union) and daughter–in-law of Gandhi (the father of the nation) securing her place in the future Nehru-Gandhi dynasty (based on swordoftruth.com). Another story, according to Mr. Arvind Lavakare in a personal communication to me, is that Feroz had a Parsi father whose surname was "GHANDI" not "GANDHI". That was made clear by an advertisement in a major English newspaper of Allahabad. It was Mahatma Gandhi who suggested to Nehru that Feroze's surname be spelt as "GANDHI" instead of the original "GHANDI". An RSS columnist wrote that "Ghandi's" mother was a Muslim, and since an offspring takes on the religion of its mother, Feroz ought to be considered a Muslim.

Indira married Feroze, a family friend and lawyer, on March 26, 1942 and had two sons. Feroze Gandhi was the son of a Parsi liquor and provision merchant of Allahabad. Other accounts state that his father was an engineer with a company that required him to travel to foreign countries a great deal. The surname Gandhi is common among gujaratis, especially for a merchant caste vaishya. Though a long time favorite of Mahatma Gandhi, he was never adopted by the Mahatma, who did support Indira for her marriage with Feroze. Indira's marriage to Feroze Gandhi (not related to the Mahatma) was widely denigrated by orthodox Hindus because it was an intercommunal "love marriage," not arranged by her parents. Jawaharlal Nehru was said by some accounts to have disapproved of the inter-caste marriage for political reasons, but other accounts state he was a strong supporter of the union. Although Nehru was a liberal and committed to secularism, as a Brahmin had his reservations about Feroze Gandhi, the Parsi. Born in a rich family, Feroze Gandhi went to jail at the age of 18. One urban legend is that Feroze Khan's father, Nawab Khan, was a Muslim, and mother was a Persian Muslim, and that Feroze altered his surname to adhere more closely to the leader of nationalistic sentiment of the time. According to another version of this story, Mahatma Gandhi intervened and adopted Feroze Khan, giving him his last name (family name/caste name) and getting the name of Feroz Khan changed to Feroz Gandhi by an affidavit in England. Thus, Feroze Khan became Feroze Gandhi. These stories are urban legends.

Not sure if that is correct: see the post above. And I remember seeing Indira and Rajiv being cremated. Unless there is some grand conspiracy involved that does sound like hindu last rites.

It is true that feroz gandhi was a parsee but Rajiv's mother was a Hindu and he considered himself to be a Hindu which is why he was cremated as per Hindu rituals. Moreover Rahul Gandhi has claimed that he should be considered a Brahmin:

Did Indira enter Puri Temple?
Even though she was born a hindu, considered herself a Hindu and was cremated as a Hindu the priests at Puri did not let her enter the temple because she married a parsee. This shows the mean spirited behavior of the Puri priests and nothing else.

It is learnt that Indira Gandhi on marrying Phiroze Khan changed her religion from Hinduism to Islam. They are learnt to have married in one London Mosque. Indira Gandhi is further learnt to have changed her name to 'MAINUNA BEGUM'. This happened in 1941 when inter religious marriage were illegal and to make them lawful one of the two spouses had to change one's religion. The females always undergo change of their family surnames to accept the surname or the family of their husbands.

Looks like he is a jerk in his personal life.
But what he said about Nehru's family history could be factual.
I do not how far it is true. It seems that the Feroze Khan character was going after Kamala Nehru before. She did not like him at all. And then he managed to hook Indira.

Let this so called distinguished scholar fix Afghanistan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, where there is rampant, blatant legally sanctioned discrimination against all minorities.
Now Egypt is joining the ranks.
If she can do that, I will accept that she is really something.
I would like to see how successful she is in all those.

Sonia loves Hindus. After all She married a Hindu.
Really! For the past 10 years I do not recollect any actions that seems to support this statement. Kindly educate us.

Can you please stop these nonsensical ads for congress party? She hasn't given one extempore Interview and you talk of philosophy.
Read my question! I said actions!

So, if Firoz is a Parsi, and Rajiv thinks he is a Hindu because his mother is a Hindu, I wonder if Firoz is turning in his grave feeling slighted. The Nehrus are known to utter rubbish. Jawaharlal, for example, told Galbraith that he was the last European to rule India! What an arshole!

Strictly, Rajiv was a Muslim. Go read your history books.
It is true that feroz gandhi was a parsee but Rajiv's mother was a Hindu and he considered himself to be a Hindu which is why he was cremated as per Hindu rituals. Moreover Rahul Gandhi has claimed that he should be considered a Brahmin:

Instead of learning the truth it is sad to note Uppili the Poopili's preference for pooping 24*7.

How about the Parsis? Did they allow her into their's? I bet they were disappointed with Parsi Firoz for marrying outside the clan. In fact, they don't even consider Parsi women as Parsi if they marry outsiders.

These are all very high level history for Maulana "Vomit" Rashmunullah, whose (lack of) capabilities are well known here.
Did Indira enter Puri Temple?
Even though she was born a hindu, considered herself a Hindu and was cremated as a Hindu the priests at Puri did not let her enter the temple because she married a parsee. This shows the mean spirited behavior of the Puri priests and nothing else.

Do not believe all the hype u hear about Gujarat. See for instance:

These are excuses to conceal the truth that Modi’s decade in power has seen the logic of the 2002 violence in Gujarat against Muslims pursued by other means. The violence then was as ‘efficient’ as his administration is now, and its aim was much the same. This ideology of exclusion is ingrained in Modi. As a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) since a young age, he would know that Veer Savarkar had written, ‘…our Mohammedan or Christian countrymen who had originally been forcibly converted to a non-Hindu religion and who consequently have inherited along with Hindus, a common Fatherland and a greater part of the wealth of a common culture—language, law, customs, folklore and history—are not and cannot be recognised as Hindus. For though Hindustan to them is Fatherland as to any other Hindu yet it is not to them a Holyland too.’ By the very notion of ‘holyland’, this can never be true of Muslims or Christians, and hence they must forever lie outside the RSS’s idea of cultural nationhood.
Modi, a demagogue, combines the chauvinism of this worldview with an authoritarian streak. Those who believe that he will moderate his stance and become more inclusive are living out a fantasy. If he were to let go of exclusion and hatred, he would not be Modi.

Rashmun,
i am looking at official statistics, statements bt non politicians like ratan tata, and congress's own efforts to discredit gujarat's economic progress.
I spoke lot of gujaratis who almost always say thst gujarat is making tremendous economic strides.
If this is all fake, show us credible evidence.
Your post lacks even a single fact. Opinions do not prove arguments.

Do you agree that the malnutrition rate in Gujarat is lower than the national average?
When Modi was asked about it he said something along the lines of Gujjus do not eat a lot because they do not want to become fat.

Rashmun,
Do not repeat congress election time publicity. Do some research and bring some national and state to state comparison. Mal nutrition is a good starti ofng point. Compare that to gujarat of the past and compare it to neighbouring states.
Bring other data.
I am open to change my views. Provide me the data.
