American Airlines and US Airways have decided to merge, forming the world's largest airline. This means that United Airlines loses the most coveted spot -- that of the world's second largest airline -- to Delta Air Lines. As you know, why would anyone not wish to fly the world's second largest airline? This means that most sensible people -- including yours truly -- will stop flying United and start flying Delta. As a result of this deal, Delta stock is up 2% today. United stock is up 1%, but that's because Wall Street is sometimes wrong.
