nadal wins! (yes, just the semis)

what a match! i am still shaking though i was a mere couch potato.
nadal could have easily wrapped it up in set 4 but djoker showed why he is the world #1 now.
*phew* i am too old for such nailbiting finishes.

I think Nadal is a descendent of Tamilian Nadar community who should have migrated long back.

I am still recovering from it. I was rooting for Nadal all the way. The way things are going between Ferrer and Tsonga, it might be a Spanish final.

The semifinal was the real final. Ferrer will be served a bagel or two.

Nadal got his revenge after losing a tough 5-setter to Djokowich in the Australian Open a year or so ago. Ferrer had an easier match against Tsonga so his legs might hold better for a 31 year old. But it is Nadal's 8th French Open title almost positively!

i wonder how that ferrer fella reached the final. heck, i wonder how he could even qualify for the grand slam. heck heck, i wonder why his family does not advise him to take up plumbing or some such rewarding career. there were so many unforced errors in the first set by him (and nadal as well) that i quit watching 20 mins into the game. i hope wimbledon is more entertaining.

He had been playing on clay for far too long. He could have skipped one or 2 clay tournaments to give his body some rest but since he needs the ranking points, he played any and every clay tournament he could.
Skipping Halle meant he started the grass season without any preparatory match play. Add to that his paranoia about hurting his knee on the grass plus some hangover & tentativeness after last year's shock loss, and a determined opponent not willing to bendover resulted in an early exit.
