bw, I'll indulge you this time, even though this thread is about tracy, bA, and Idefix. Jai was an electrical engineer, but after a year of that, he took up programming, which he found to be very easy, compared to e.e. Jai says that most IT people from India are engineers who found engineering too difficult.

For last 2 or 3 years I have been getting my hba1c test done during my annual exams coz my family has a history of diabetes. So what's the conclusion now? That I am also in biochem or a wannabe doc or maybe I am gk and petri both? Coz I mean, what are the odds of three Suchers knowing about a term that you never heard of.

Usually I don't talk to tranny handles but I will indulge you this time.
1. I completed my bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering at IITM . Because you are a non-indian with raj as your only source of knowledge about India , let me offer more details. The M stands for Madras as it was called back then. It was in 70's when the competition was not so fierce.  Just smart people could get into the then hot Civil Engineering. Average students were in Mechanical and Electrical branches and the below average guys had to be satisfied with Chemical Engineering. If you want to explain it to Raj , tell him it is equivalent to Textile Engineering in IIT Gauhati in current times. I know a universally loved (including his family) old geezer who went to the same school as me and he calls himself an IIT'an. So Why can't I do the same ?

2. No. I am self employed like Rashmun. But unlike Rashmun , most self employed people work harder than regular employees because they have greater stake at work. I forgot , being a spring chicken here , you don't know who Rashmun is. He is a Post Doctoral student who keeps doing his own research ( and calls it self-employment) because he cannot get a job/PostDoc anywhere.
