2.   Mass massacred. ( 4 ) 
3.   Brewing spiced ale without note is vile. (10)  
4.   No, I don’t aim to break rule. (10) 
5.   Abhorrent twelve dozen. (5) 
6.   Poles pay out for a flower. (7)
7.   Insect on female part of flower. (6)  
8.   Grasps not the right trousers. ( 5 )  
9.   Island calls hole. (6) 
10. Amused caretaker keeps wreck. (4,3)
