If AAP had taken their 'chance' to rule Delhi more seriously and responsibly and concentrated on good governance in the Capital for this run, they'd have
a) won the same 10-15 seats easily with less resources or efforts
and b) become a formidable force for the 2019 elections

That's an unrealistic expectation. Kejri & co never had the stamina it takes to run a government, nor showed any new ideas on how to improve the quality of life for the citizenry. Their one-point agenda was and remains the elimination of corruption, as if that is some silver bullet which will somehow make everything fine. Kejri & co will remain fringe players, perpetually agitating about something or the other, not very different from the commies in India.

A similar obsession to be seen as being corruption-free is what led AK Anthony aka Mr Clean to completely clamp down on all defence purchases, leading to severe operational degradation in the armed forces, most visible in the Navy where outdated submarines and ships keep spontaneously combusting and sinking.
