seemandhra capital

There is widespread publicity that seemandhra capital will be located in vja-gunter area. It is no longer a point of discussion. That kurnool, vizag, and ongole as possible candidates.
But the wily locals have already started demanding huge monies for their ag lands. State and center does not have the money to pay that kind of money. Forceful takeover of lands is not a palatable political option. Not likely to happen.
There is a talk of other cities being reconsidered. The likely option is that instead of capital being centered around national highway no.5, the capital may be located away from the present cluster of urban areas. That is more closer to Amarvati or between guntur and amaravati. There are some govt lands and possible vacant lands in that area.
I am only speaking based on publicly available information. An east west axis road between Acharya nagarjuna uniersity and towards amaravati will be the capital center of seemandhra and a large area will be designated as capital region (delhi style) for development by private sources.
But the wily locals have already started demanding huge monies for their ag lands. State and center does not have the money to pay that kind of money. Forceful takeover of lands is not a palatable political option. Not likely to happen.

In a way, CBN should not make noises on the "capital" issue but concentrate on the other aspects - building industry, business, jobs, infrastructure, etc.
He already made a commitment to write off the loans to farmers. This is a very bad move.
I hope he won't get stuck in YSR-type programs and further ruin the already weak AP economy.
Hopefully, there will be diversified development across the state with economic hubs, etc.

The loan waiver is really economy killer. It also sends the wrong message.
Govt employee retirement age to 60 is a right move because of continued improvement in longevity. Politically it is double sided. It gains employee support but causes youth to question about opportunities.
NTR sujala (water to villages) - I really hope this is a success. Drinking water problem should not have taken so long to solve. People deserve that. It should have been priority one.

where ever capital is, seemandhra should disperse development efforts:
Vja-gunter - commercial enterprise
Vizag - Industry and entertainment industry and tourism
Kurnool - highcourt
Anatapur and Vizag - IT hubs
Tirupati - agricultural industry and tourism
Cudapah, nellore, ongole triangle - Heavy industry
Kurnool, Rajamundry, ongole, kakinada - educational institutions

Wily locals, really? you want them to donate their lands so the middlemen and politicians can make merry. I know the locals as well as you do. They remind me of investors in Amazon. The stock remains phenomenally high despite never seeing profit in more than a decade.
