i am going to watch this series a little at a time. a few things of note:

1) when he uses the formal register i have no trouble understanding him; but his colloquialisms are slightly harder because they are unique to sri lankan tamils.

2) amazed at how much cultural similarities and common cultural references exist between SL tamils and indian tamils despite centuries of separation.

3) he makes occasional humorous but slightly nervous references to the current political situation of SL tamils.

he is an entertaining speaker with a deep grasp of the kambaramayanam.

26 minutes is too long to listen on a subject I do not have much interest.

Most of these people went to India within the last 60 or 70 years. There is no centurioes of separation. They often visit home at least once a year.
