LONDON: A UK court has sentenced three people, including a Pakistani bridegroom, to up to 20 months in prison for immigration offences after he forgot his wife-to-be's name minutes before the wedding. Authorities were alerted after Zubair Khan phoned his marriage fixer to ask his bride's name during a meeting with the register before the ceremony. .....

this happened with an ex-colleague of mine... the wife was American citizen of Chinese heritage, and sponsoring her Chinese husband for Green Card. Theirs was a legit marriage of two years. In the interview in which they interview each of them separately, and ask questions about each other, they asked her his Chinese name, and she didn't know it, or had forgotten. She would call him only by his x-ian name. haha... took a lot of convincing to prove they were a legit couple. Was funny when she was telling us the story.

That must be a shocker during the official interview, to forget spouse's name.
