Gopinath Ravindran, Member Secy, Indian Council of Historical Research, last week became the fourth official of a major academic/research institution to resign. Ravindran has blamed the ICHR chief and the 'saffron' agenda of Council members; two others have blamed the HRD Ministry.

This and NITI Aayog, which is turning out to be a major dud. Modiji is doing a wonderful job indeed.

What is the 'saffron' agenda of Council members and how is it directly making these people to resign unless there is some legitimacy to it?

Just 4 in 8 months? That a very low number. In countries like the US, when administrations change, there are a lot more changes at the top levels of the executive AS SOON AS the new administration takes over. It's normal for there to be some churn when policies change. The churn itself is not an indicator of whether or not the new policies/leadership are good or bad. All that it might indicate is that the new policies/leadership are different from the old policies/leadership, and some people are not able to stomach that. Considering the previous administrations which ruled the country, one should be GLAD that the new policies/leadership are different from the old policies. All this is common sense and doesn't need any extra mental effort to understand. Unless you are a confused douche!  Very Happy
