some years ago, i mentioned sanjoy mahajan's book on street fighting math. he has come out with a delightful little second volume (at least the parts i have read so far), continuing on some of the themes he developed in his first book. i recommend it highly for people interested in math and physics and more importantly, interested in learning to do approximate calculations in many walks of life, ditching rigor for getting quick and reasonable answers.
