Penny Pincher spends heavily

Kohls shopping yesterday.
One dress shirt 9.99; winter cap for neck and head 9; scarf/muffler 16; wallet 20 (Chaps) ; suitcase set (4 piece) 99.99 (American tourister). Net 162.xx; 30% off - 117.xx plus tax exactly $125. For spending More than 100, got $20 back. Good deal or bad deal?
BTW how is the American touristor luggauge quality? I can still return them if not good. (10 year warranty). Experts like props, TW and Bittu pliss to comment freely. Did I s(h)ave enough?

But, he could have waited for Monday and get it in an after Christmas Sale for 9.99 with another shirt at half-price. Or, could have bought it for 7.99 at Dollar general the day after Christmas.
people should learn to give "proper" usable advice...

Great deal. You should never shop in India because you will die of sticker shock at the 1000 - 1500 Rs price tag for shirts and 1300-1500 per meter price + 350 for stitching for trousers.

NOT TRUE...he can wait until summer so they go into the 98% off sale bin. ofcourse the red stripes on yellow base might not be popular but those look ok after couple of washes.

Getting 2.99 shirts is really possible. JCPenny outlet sells them and they are decent. I did buy that kind of shirts "many" times. Secondly Charvaka, I did not buy shirt for 9.99. It was priced 9.99 but with 30% off it came to 6.99. Nevada you are correct about sticker price shock for me in India. Props, no comments on your tagging along. You live in your box. Pliss to continue that way. Thanks all again. Hope you had a nice Xmas and wish you all a Khushi khushi naya saal ;-)

i have a close relative in the textile business in india. he said that they send mostly rejects with some slight errors in the weave to the US because american buyers are very price sensitive. they keep the best product for the indian market because indians are willing to pay a higher price for the perfect stuff. i am not surprised you had sticker shock in india. just FYI.
