Just watched that clip. LOL! That's excellent RajnikanthNatyam. What are people complaining about?

Clearly she learned watching her dad's movies and watching him dance.  Chip off the old block.

There is another possibility. Perhaps she (including the organizers) might have wanted to put up a simple / basic number (BN dance) in front of foreign audience at the UN in the hope that foreigners (not exposed to BN before, especially the complex / advanced forms of BN) would follow / understand / like that better.
