Trump is upset that Sessions recused himself from an investigation that includes Sessions's own activities during the campaign. Let that sink in. This president wants his attorney general to have authority over an investigation of himself.

How long he lasts as president depends on how many Republicans in Congress are willing to move against a fellow Republican. Odds are he will survive into 2019, perhaps until 2021. But he may resign if Pence promises to pardon him and his friends.
