Hindi Day fete begins at I-T department

Hindi Day was celebrated at the Income tax Department in the city on Wednesday with Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Visakhapatnam S.K. Pathak inaugurating the Hindi Fortnight. Speaking on the occasion, he explained the steps taken by the Department for implementing the Official Language Policy and urged the Officers and Staff to use Hindi in their official work. Commissioner of Income Tax -1 and Rajabhasha Adhikari I. Suresh Babu said that working in Hindi was the responsibility of all. He appreciated the contribution made by all the Officers and Staff for achieving significant progress in Hindi correspondence by the Department. Commissioner of Income Tax-2 Nathan Paul said that various Hindi competitions would be organised during the fortnight and urged all the Officers and staff to actively participate in these competitions. Commissioner of Income Tax (ITAT) Lucas Peter and Commissioner of Incometax (Appeals) KVN Chary also participated in the Hindi Day Function and gave their suggestions.

Hindi Day celebrated

Hindi Day was celebrated on a grand scale at Aditya Public School and Aditya Degree College for Women here on Wednesday. Various competitions in Hindi were conducted for the students and prizes were presented to the winners to mark the occasion.

Hindi Day celebrated

VIJAYAWADA, SEPT. 14. Students and staff of the K.C.P. Siddartha Adarsh Residential Public School celebrated the Hindi Day on Tuesday. Former Hindi Training College principal, K.Hanumatha Rao, said every Indian from Kashmir to Kanyakumari should try to be proficient in the national language.

Principal, GVVAS Murthy, senior Hindi teachers Padmavathy Raghavan, N.Kantha Rani, other members of the Hindi faculty, Ch.Ramesh Babu and Riaz Ahmed, organised a quiz and debate in Hindi on the occasion.

School convenor and Siddartha Academy joint secretary, S. Ramakrishna, was present.
