Why is this treason?

So this Pakistani doctor works with American intelligence to help track down a man that the Pakistani government has many times declared a terrorist. The head of the Pakistani state denounced the terrorist, and made many claims that he was not living in Pakistan. So what the doctor did was to help find an enemy of the state. But they convict him for treason for doing that. What is the legal basis for convicting Shakeel Afridi of treason?

hmm...let's see. the good doctor used false pretext to organize a vaccination camp so close to the 'west point' of pak and tried to extract state secrets by collecting ubl's drool. he collaborated with foreign state actors to indirectly cause a public rape, molestation, izzat loot of paki sovereignty in the form of black hawk helicopters riding low over the mounds of sensuous paki (t)highs aka hills.

I guess they branded him a traitor because he helped kill their golden goose. I am looking forward for that second in command guy to keep his date with the 72 virgins next.

Now that the divorce between US and Pakistan is getting finalized, it would be interesting to see how US acts to protect its own interests and friends. Dr Afridi would be right to expect tangible US action - like the Marines, you don't leave the wounded behind.
I would love to see some of that 'matzo balls' Hill is famous for, some twisted elbows on the Paki side, and an overnight quiet flight for Dr Afridi followed by witness-protection like existence. 33 years is a long time and the public memory is fragile...one hopes. Lets get the Kayani dirty pictures out of the closet and put it to use now!
