Looks like Romney's teaming up with Trump is not something that wasn't thought out. The calculus presumably was 'i rope in the birther idiots and as to the moderate republicans, they are not going to be turned off enough to leave (after all I am not the one positing this kenya birth nonsense) + they understand i need mr. money bags, given that Obama has clooney et al pulling for him'
