India without Dravid and Laxman faced a weak NZ. perfect opportunity for the smart people to take advantage. Pujara and Ashwin just did that. 159 against any test team at any venue is good and six wickets on a second of a test is good. Neither achievements should be considered great pointers to future but smart cricketers take advantage of situations as they are presented and reserve their best for more difficult situations.

This NZ team is weak but a win is a win. Ashwin got 6 once again. Meanwhile, as I was looking at cricinfo last night I noticed that they were showing the under 19 world cup final online! So I watched it and saw Unmukt Chand take India to a win. His IPL stock must have gone up!
