Sri Lanka raises defence spending by 25%

(AFP) – COLOMBO — Sri Lanka on Tuesday announced it would raise defence spending by over 25 percent in 2013, more than three years after security forces ended a decades-long separatist war with Tamil rebels.

Even if SL increased the budget 300%, it can never match the deadly "Phut-Phut" 2-aircraft Tamil Air Force and the 3-boat Tamil Naval Armada.
