I was always wondering. How come every school in this country regardless of size does not have metal detectors and security guards?

I donot think any school will have metal detectors. In most schools, you cannot enter easily. You will be viewed thru camera and only then you can enter into the building after someone disable the lock remotely. The gunman might have gained entry thru someother way. It is sickening...

This school would have allowed the gunman in the building b/c his mother worked there; unless she informed the principal that her son was a danger to the public.

Apparently this was a popular and good school and safe too. How can one have all the safety when one from a teacher's family can carry guns inside school?
Are you suggesting Airport Type Security in schools for all children and teachers and visitors?

Lunatics having access to guns, who kill people in public places, cannot be controlled. After this school incident, it is advisable to have security guards in all school entrances, not just Junior high and high schools.
